The story is set in a rural Indian village, speaking about the everyday struggles and living conditions of people impacted by a lack of infrastructure and basic facilities. This affects daily life, especially for women, who bear the brunt of these hardships. At the heart of the story is a woman who, despite having the legitimate right to be the village head, is denied the right to act in her role by her husband. Her journey to reclaim her voice begins when she’s inspired by women from a women’s collective who courageously speaks up at a village council meeting, standing her ground despite the obstacles and taunts from the men gathered there. The film highlights the struggle for women to assert their rightful place in society.
