 1995-1996, director Fauzia Khan was in Pune. In those extremely busy days she felt an “OUTSIDER”, like Mersault in THE STRANGER, a novel by Albert Camus. Before departure from Dhaka one of her friends, Farida Hafiz, gifted her a diary. To fill up the massive vacuum within her, she used to write a diary. In My Pune Diary the director shares a little from that diary.


Fauzia Khan is an independent documentary maker. Mostly she worked on the issues of gender and sexuality, environment, history of liberation war of Bangladesh and mental health. Apart from making documentary, Fauzia Khan also works as part time faculty member at different universities. She also writes on cinema.

Fauzia has done her masters in Bengali Language & Literature from University of Dhaka. She has done her diploma in cinema with the specialisation in Film Editing from Film & Television Institute of India, Pune. She is an International Fellow at The Documentary Centre of George Washington University, USA.

Fauzia Khan is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
