Director Story

Madhumanti Sengupta is a Curriculum Developer for Rupantar(Transforming Education) an initiative by Sri Aurobindo Society, New Delhi. Prior to this she has worked with UGC(University Grants Commission) for its e-PG Pathshaala programme. As a part of the programme, she has written several contents for it’s ‘Media & Communication’ section.

Sengupta has been awarded the prestigious ‘Jai Chandiram Memorial Fellowship’ in the year 2018. Her association with IAWRT began in the year 2016, when she was a part of the festival coordination team for the 13th IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival. She has also interned with PARI (People’s Archive for Rural India). Sengupta completed her Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication from Visva-Bharati (A Central University of National Importance) and her bachelor’s in English Literature from Calcutta University.
