A first person narrative of life at FTII and after, through the films we saw and made.

Random Thoughts on a Sunday Afternoon is a film made entirely from found footage. The director uses clips from old camera practicals of students at FTII, student diploma films, her own diploma films and old photographs to narrate her personal journey as a young woman in the world of films. Growing up in conservative, small town Pune of the 80s, the director’s  fascination with films leads her to FTII, and finding her own voice amidst her peers and the masters she is watching. The film is a document of FTII in the early 90s, featuring many students, staff and the landscape of the campus of that time, through the student films.
