Director Story

Geeta Sahai (Geeta Lal Sahai) is an award-winning filmmaker and writer.  She is a recipient of the REX-Karmaveer-Global-Fellowship and Bronze & Silver Karmaveer-Chakra Award 2014 & 2019 respectively. She is a published author with a substantive oeuvre of fiction and non-fiction. Beginning her career as a print journalist, Geeta Sahai was associated with many publications and TV channels and as an independent Producer- Director-Writer she has made short films on mental health and gender. Her latest film – I REMEMBER… has won many national and international awards (streaming on Disney-Hotstar.) She is the co-founder of Heart & Soul Media and Founder-President Swayam Foundation (Non-Profit Organisation), India.
